How to turn off Life360 location sharing for good

Open Life360, tap Settings in the upper left corner, then Location Sharing, and switch the toggle off. Repeat in every Circle, then set the app’s location permission to Never (iPhone) or Don’t allow (Android).
Turning off Life360 takes two layers, and most guides only cover one. Inside the app, you pause or stop sharing for each circle. In your phone settings, you strip its location permission so it cannot quietly switch back on in the background. With both layers cut, Life360 no longer sees where you are, even while the app is open. Below are the exact taps for iPhone and Android, plus a way to still know when a friend is nearby without letting anyone track you.

Switch off Location Sharing in each Circle
In Life360, tap Settings in the upper left corner, then Location Sharing, and turn the toggle off. It only applies to the Circle you are viewing: switch Circles and repeat for each one.

Revoke the permission on iPhone
Open Settings, Privacy & Security, Location Services, tap Life360 and choose Never. The app can no longer read your position, even in the background.

Revoke the permission on Android
Touch and hold the Life360 icon, tap App info, then Permissions, Location, and choose Don’t allow.

Leave the Circle to cut it fully
In Life360, tap Settings, Circle Management, Leave Circle, then Yes. A Circle needs an Admin: if you are the Admin, name someone else first, otherwise the app picks one.

Keep nearby alerts, privately
If you still want a nudge when a friend is close, a local proximity app works it out on your own phone, so your position never reaches a server.
