How Parages nudges you while knowing nothing about you

The detail that keeps your location from ever leaving your phone.

The question we get most: if Parages tells me when I am near a friend, surely it knows where I am? The short answer is no, and it is the heart of what we built.

The computation happens on your phone, not on our servers. You save the rough address of your friends. Your device compares your position to that list, locally, and fires a notification if you get close. At no point is your location sent anywhere.

In practice, we hold no map of your movements because we never receive one. Even if we wanted to, we could not reconstruct your days. That is an architectural guarantee, not a marketing line.

We think privacy should not be an option you switch on in a menu. It should be the default, the one you cannot turn off. At Parages, that is exactly how it works.
