Why we built Parages

We all have friends we love and never see. Not for lack of wanting to. Life moves, calendars miss each other, and you bump into someone six months too late, realizing you lived ten minutes apart the whole time.

Every app that promises to "find your friends" starts from the same idea: share your live location. Everyone sees where you are, all the time. That felt wrong to us. Nobody wants to be followed around, not even by the people they trust.

Parages flips the problem. You note where your friends live, in a book only you can read. The app sleeps in your pocket. The day you pass near one of them, it tells you. Nothing else leaves your phone.

The difference is technical, and it changes everything. No shared map, no trip history, no data sold. Just a quiet nudge at the right moment, when the chance to see someone is actually there.
